Bogin, Munns & Munns PA inked a big deal that will move the law firm’s Orlando office from the west side into downtown.
The law firm signed a long-term lease to take 22,000 square feet of office space, the entire 10th floor, at the Gateway Center, 1000 Legion Place. The move is expected to bring 80 of the firm’s employees to just outside the central business district.
The new office is expected to be ready for occupancy in the first quarter.
“The space and location are perfect for us,” said Rulon Munns, partner at Bogin, Munns & Munns, in a prepared statement.
The lease also tightens downtown’s existing office inventory for companies seeking large, contiguous spaces. New big companies coming into the region or existing tenants who are growing and need more space have limited options.
Orlando-based Foundry Commercial LLC — which handles leasing and property management for the Gateway Building on behalf of landlord FCA Partners — will oversee the tenant buildout. A general contractor hasn’t been selected yet for the project; construction drawings are being finalized, Foundry Commercial Principal Alex Rosario told Orlando Business Journal.
Rosario, J. Paul Reynolds, Jon Pietkiewicz and Gabe De Jesus of Foundry Commercial represented the landlord in the lease deal.
The Gateway Center is now 85 percent occupied.
